Masterclasses and workshops
 
   
Masterclasses and workshops are an integral part of the Sligo Festival of Baroque Music, providing an opportunity for student, you professional or amateur musicians to have gain from the experience and understanding of musicians from internationally acclaimed performers and teachers. They also provide a fascinating and educational experience for those observing the classes.    
     
Please note that participants in Masterclasses must book in advance    
       
Please indicate when booking what music you will play and whether you will be playing an instrument at baroque (415) or modern (440) pitch    
       

Observers at these classes are welcome and there is no need to book in advance.  The observation fee is €5 and is payable to the Box Office

   
     
       
Violin Masterclass with Maya Homberger    
Saturday 23rd and Monday 25th at 10am    
€20/€12    
For solo violin class with Maya participants should, if possible, prepare a piece (or movement) from Bach or Telemann's compositions for unaccompanied violin, or Biber Passacaglia.      
   
     
Flute Masterclass with Wilbert Hazelzet      
Saturday 23rd at 4pm      
€20/€12      

For Wilbert's flute masterclass participants should come having prepared a piece (or movement) from any sonata for traverse flute and continuo, or piece for unaccompanied flute from the Baroque period. (please bring continuo part with you.

   
   
     
Recorder Masterclass with Aedin Halpin    
Sunday 25th at 10.30pm    
€20/€12    
Recorder players wishing to take part in Aedin's class should come with a prepared piece for solo recorder, or recorder and continuo from the Baroque.
