DORM
DORM is an artist-collective project
as never experienced before. Taking the shape
of an art fair, The Model’s galleries and
spaces will be confiscated by artist collectives
from around the world – building a variety
of programming, exhibitions, events, concerts,
film screenings and discursive events. The project
extends itself to our audiences who will be invited
to sleep over in The Model for the opening weekend
– in artist-designed accommodation in the
new nine studios.
These sleeping quarters are to be housed in the
nine artist studios that are to be part of the
new design of The Model. The space and sleeping
areas will be designed and produced in collaboration
with the schools of Product Design and Interior
Architecture at the
I.T. Sligo. These sleeping units and relaxation
suites will accommodate up to 80 people comfortably
within the nine studio spaces during the opening
event – for both sleeping and other nocturnal
events. |
